Why do we put off making significant changes in our lives until we have the heart attack, the stroke or lose a loved one? Why do we wait for a near-death experience to explore life after death and to realize how precious this life is? Why do we race to the finish line, blindly competing and acquiring along the way?
About pique
Pique is a blog for those of us who are seeking personal transformation without personal tragedy. Those of us who have spent the first half of our lives achieving and acquiring and still want more. Not more stuff – there’s etsy for that – but a deeper understanding of who we are and why we’re here.
Armed with a sense of humor, some healthy skepticism and an insatiable curiosity, I’m exploring everything from the Alexander Technique to Zen meditation. At the center of it all is the elusive connection between mind, body and spirit.
I invite you to join me on my journey. Along the way, we’ll stop and explore what piques our curiosity, and we’ll get to know some amazing people, including ourselves.
About Karen Abercrombie I am a thinker, a hard-core INTJ in Myers-Briggs terminology. That stands for Introversion, Intuition, Thinking and Judging. (I’m not saying I’m proud of that.) While it’s gotten me where I am today, it’s also, well, gotten me where I am today. I am finally feeling courageous enough to risk looking foolish to unleash the funny, human feeler inside. I am also a native Houstonian, accomplished marketing professional, happy wife, doting mother, recovering workaholic, aspiring writer, neophyte yogi and recent empty nester.

Hi Karen. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the world. I have had my blog for a couple years and done nothing with it. Reading yours has been very inspiring. Once mine is up I hope you will visit and share your thoughts.
